The hotel is in an ideal location, with a mixed experience in service and dining. The rooms are well-maintained and offer a luxurious touch. The dining options could use some improvement, while the service was a bit inconsistent. The facilities were generally enjoyable, making it a decent value for the price.

The hotel is wonderfully located in the heart of old downtown, making it easy to explore on foot. The rooms, though decorated with charming antique furniture, had the tiniest shower in America. The friendly service was accentuated by a roomy queen suite and entertaining piano performances in the quaint lobby bar. While the morning dining was good, the hash browns needed improvement as they were served cold. Overall, a mixed experience with some highlights and areas needing attention.
Rooms

The rooms were decorated with antique furniture and had the tiniest shower in America, but they were comfortable and had lots of big windows with shades that you can close.

The staff knew their stuff and were friendly, but the experience was marred by early morning disturbances and occasional lapses in attentiveness.

The hotel has a unique character and is perfectly set in the heart of old downtown. The rooms have pretty good soundproofing, but the layout with a wall right before the window limited our view. The service was lacking knowledge and spent more time on smoke breaks, yet the historic downtown location was charming. Overall, the hotel offers some positives but also has some drawbacks to consider.
Rooms

The rooms had pretty good soundproofing, but the layout with a wall right before the window limited our view. The smaller bedroom with a double bed and sink was comfortable.
Service
5.0
The service lacked knowledge and spent more time on smoke breaks than on customer service. However, the newspaper service and computer connection offered some convenience.
Location

The hotel is perfectly set in the heart of old downtown, with lots of character. However, the loud train horn at night and the outdoor rock music until 11:00 pm on weekends were disruptive.

The speak-easy in the basement was a cool idea, but the cigar smoke was extreme.
